Heb je onderstaande mail ook ontvangen met als titel “Error Fixation Required”. De afzender probeert je wijs te maken dat er iets mis is met jouw website. Als je deze fouten niet oplost dan krijg je site een slechtere ranking in Google. Oei, dat is wel schrikken, toch? Alleen heeft deze Mandy Smith helemaal niet naar jouw website gekeken en stuurt at random naar website-eigenaren deze mail in de hoop dat iemand toehapt en 100 dollar betaalt om de site te laten verbeteren. Verbeteringen die dus helemaal niet nodig zijn. Ik zou “Mandy” ook zeker geen toegang durven geven tot het beheerdeel van de website. Je weet maar nooit wat ze er op zetten.
Voor een van mijn opdrachtgevers heb ik alle in de mail genoemde punten onderzocht en op geen enkel punt klopte het met de realiteit. Onlangs kwam ik een blogbericht tegen van MarStyle die per onderdeel een beschrijving heeft gemaakt waarom dit een fake email is. Lees hier haar blog>>
